While we are lucky enough to have a wonderful certified Yoga instructor as a Retreat Leader, we would not say we are a Yoga-specific Retreat. Heather will be offering Yoga during each retreat, as a form of movement; but each Santosha Retreat encompasses a balance of 6 primary Anchors.  Movement (yoga classes being one form we will offer), Mindfulness (meditations, intention settings, sound baths, etc..), Connection (space to connect to others, nature and yourself), Rest (we build "personal time" into each itinerary so everything can be taken at your own pace, Nourishment (we book in-house private chefs for each retreat), and Exploration (excursions and opportunities to explore each area we visit!)


The exact number varies from Retreat to Retreat, however we aim to keep our Retreats intimate. Typically, 12 people total is our magic number.


All of our meals are nutritious, delicious, and chef-prepared.  Food will be locally sourced  when possible, and we offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options upon request. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or preferences in advance, and we are more than happy to make those arrangements for you.


Our retreat schedule has been carefully curated with YOU in mind. That being said, we make all retreat activities optional, so it’s up to you how much or how little you do during the program. You choose the level of activity to align with your intention for the retreat. We want you to feel re-charged and more centered after a Santosha Retreat!


We believe all things are great in moderation, and vacations are, indeed, a time to relax and unwind. Although alcohol is not included, nor will we be serving any during the retreat (except for an occasional "arrival" or "happy hour" offering), we allow you to have up to 1 bottle per person on property during the retreat. We encourage mindful and appropriate alcohol usage, both for the wellness benefits and for consideration of other guests.


A Retreat is a completely different experience than a regular vacation. On a retreat, there are carefully curated activities you participate in as a group, and as an individual, which means that you can focus more on the present moment and go deeper into finding your inner contentment. Being on a retreat is a special time for you, a time to reconnect and recharge. Many of us lead LOUD, busy lives, that are full with urgent demands and long to-do lists. Sometimes a regular vacation doesn’t leave us feeling refreshed and rested, especially if we over-indulged as a way to relax; or we had to attend to other’s needs at the expense of our own. On a Santosha Retreat, we take care of everything for you, so YOU can focus on what's MOST important... YOU.
